Day 23: Dei Verbum

First day of bible class for this year!

Finally, after delaying this decision for 3 years, I enrolled myself to an annual bible class. Today is the first class and I’m all head over heels. I know it might sounds too much – but I’ve been away for too long. Didn’t read my bible in daily basis anymore and I just drop it.

The urge of going to this class was quite big. And somehow, my reasons were also big enough of not going. This year, I let them go. I’m so going for the class.

The first speaker was Fr. Pidyarto, O. Carm – a Professor in New Testatment. I’ve known him for years and familiar with his capacity to help us learn and understand more about Bible from Catholic perspective. I learned a lot today.

The Bible is very easy to understand. But we Christians are a bunch of scheming swindlers. We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand, we are obliged to act accordingly”
(Søren Kierkegaard)
