Life is series of events. Good and bad. Happy and sad. Life is also full of surprises. The good news and the bad news. The rainbow and the thunderstorm.
Does it mean that we have to wait for the rainbow to come during thunderstorm? It won’t hurt.
But do we have to wait for the sadness to embrace us, when we are happy? That’s the million dollar question.
I got a phone call from my sick colleague. He just got stroke and when he called me, his voice is still strange and I senses the pain. He said that he has to rest for at least a month and won’t be able to work. We teach together as a team in Psychology Faculty and he asked for my help to let the faculty know that he is sick and won’t be able to teach this semester. He is waiting to be recovered fully from his condition.
I am waiting for future events to come as well. My recovery, next pregnancy, next holiday season, next trip, further study, to buy our own house and cars, and a lot more. I am on the same side with Ralph Waldo Emerson in this case:
“The world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck”
