Have you treat yourself right?
People may have wrong assumption about treating oneself right. It does not have to be something expensive, fancy and one-of-a-kind. Well, it can be one-of-a-kind activity according to you – yes, very subjective. The point is to serve your psychological needs – to relax, to be less stress or simply to enjoy your free time.
Research shows that treating yourself right can help you to reduce the chance of being depressed. For me, treating myself right is as simple as having a huge cup of hot tea every night after dinner, reading my favorite books, watching Criminal Minds or CSI (oh yeah!), cooking, or having a nap. Going out with good friends is a luxury that I am having as well, even though the frequency is not as higher as I used to have.
So, choose to be happy – by treating yourself right.
