Today is not just a holiday or a long weekend for Christian. Today is the most important service for us – for today is the day when our Jesus died on the cross. I had a mixed feeling all day long. I felt bad for my sins, my wrong doings and most of all – my initial behaviors of keep the same cycle again and again. Yes, repetition is the key. And I guess, that is the answer of the above question: who killed Jesus?
Fr Noel was the celebrant for today’s service. He said that politically the answer is definite: the Jews, the Pharisees and Judas Iscariot. But Jesus didn’t die for political reason. He died out of His great love for us – sinners. It is us and our sins that killed Jesus.
I’m grateful for having such a loving God to call as my Father, my salvation, best friend and solid foundation. Thank You, Jesus for Your love. Stay with me, as Padre Pio wrote in his after communion prayer:
“Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life and without You I am without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light and without You I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will. Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You…”
Have a good day!
