I am proud to be a Catholic! Loud and clear. And among all those days, today marked a special event for Catholic Church all around the world – for today is the canonization of two former pontiffs of Catholic Church, John XXIII and John Paul II. This the first time of dual canonization and celebrated by two living popes!
I couldn’t wish for anything else, but to be there at St Peter’s Square with the crowd of 800,000 people!
One thing I remember of John Paul II is his devotion to Mother Mary through the Rosary prayers. I couldn’t forget a picture of him kneeling down and praying the Rosary. He also added one new mystery – mysteries of light. It includes Jesus’ public ministry and to further the focus of rosary to Christ.
“The Rosary has accompanied me in moments of joy and in moments of difficulty. In it I always found comfort … I frankly admitted: The rosary is my favorite prayer.”
(St John Paul II)
Let’s be happy and joyful today! For now we have two new Saints who will pray for us!
Have a good day!
