Day 224: My Little Red Riding Hood

I have two bookshelves in my room at my parent’s house. The books are mixed – from psychological books, novels to comics and collection of Enyd Bylton.

One evening both my niece and nephews were in my room. My niece then asked me if she could read one Enyd Bylton’s short stories collection that I got from my Aunt when I was at grade 6.

I surely allowed her if she would put everything back. Then suddenly this little man of 1.5 years stood up and shouted, “Iteyek, iteyek”. It took me a while and took him a couple repetition before I knew what he was saying. When I asked him, “Do you want me to read Little Red for you?” his answer was a long and relieved Yes.

I love to read and I love to influence others even more. It was started with my niece a few years back. I bought numbers of sticker books, pop-up, fairy tells, and a lot more. Now, it is the time to train this little man to read and love reading. It surely will serve him good in the future.
