Day 257: Cross is Burden?

I heard a lot about ‘embracing your cross’ as a saying that following Christ is hard and it pictures the burden that we have to carry as a Christian.

But this morning, Fr Ramon Nadres gave me a new understanding on how to see a cross. It is love!

Cross is a symbol of love. It was started with Abba Father who loved us too much and have His only Son, Jesus to be nailed to the cross. Jesus took the chalice and nailed to the cross – out of love.

As a wife, carrying my cross means putting someone else’s needs over mine – for now, it is my husband and my family. Surely, it is not an easy thing to do. It takes a whole heart to do so and both hands entwined together to invite God between us.

What a lovely homily! Surely strengthened my faith and hopefully yours as well.
