Day 298: Duo Roberts in The Judge

Finally, I watched ‘The Judge’ with my husband. It has been a while for us to go out and watch good movie. But today, the wait was worthwhile.

Two thumbs up for Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. They both gave their best action in the movie. They were so human and the drama represents our normal human life. And I love it!

I cried many times during the movie, especially when the conflicts between the two actors emerged. Or when the son (Hank Palmer) was looking for affirmation from his old man. The process of being affirmed was never ending for him. On the other hand, the willingness to be seen as a fragile man and admitting to his son that he’s the best lawyer, was too hard for Judge Keller. But the closure was there.

I’m grateful that I’m raised in a family where we do have conflicts, we shouted to each other, we quarrel but then, we make it up again. My family is far from perfect, but we are living it the best we can. I’m praying to be able to build one with my husband too.

Enjoy your weekend!
