Day 327: Dumas Meets Tolstoy

Christmas season is here! Last night, just before I left to airport, my eyes saw a bookstore that sells imported books. I bought some books in the same bookstore sometimes ago and I knew that have good collection.

I had to fight against the temptation to buy all the new releases. Until I saw stack of classic books. One of my ideal dream is to be able to read a lot of classical readings and so far, I only made halfway of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. And back to the stack, yes they sell the book for $5 each! It is around IDR 50,000. I couldn’t help myself but admitting that I lose my fight. I decided to buy two from those stack because my brain told me to count on the times. “Will you spend time to finish those two masterpieces?” Better buy and read!

At last, I chose Dumas’ The Count of Monte Christo and Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. I’ve read the beginner version of Dumas, but I feel intended to read the original version. I love the movie at first and been watching and re-watching it for so many times. And now, it is time to fill my head with something good.

Have a good weekend!
